WILDFIRE SEASON IS HERE!!

Two new Firewise Communities in Grant County!! The Middle Fork Firewise Community and the Ritter Firewise Community have become formally recognized by the the National Fire Protection Association. Please join us in recognizing this significant achievement on August 15, 2016! We will meet at the Ritter Bridge on Highway 395 at 10 AM and post the Firewise signs for each new community.

Fire Safe Montana has posted an interesting video from the Roaring Lion Fire near Hamilton: http://firesafemt.org/mitigation-survivable-space-save-least-one-home/

The Grant Harney Fire Prevention Coop (GHFP), which includes Grant County Firewise, will have a booth at the Grant County Fair. Stop by and see us! Learn about fire prevention with interactive displays, brochures, and fire prevention specialists from various agencies.

Residents around Grant County are actively involved in learning about the national Firewise Communities USA program. For more information email Irene Jerome at cwpp@grantcountycwpp.com or call 541.575.2210.
